As we all know, COVID just won’t give up and the recent uptick concerns us all. I believe that each of us has and is entitled to our personal feelings and perceptions about this health situation and how we are dealing with it. From CCWA’s perspective, it is imperative that we continue to be responsible, respect the data, maintain a neutral position, and ensure our members and guests are safe and comfortable at all CCWA events.
To that end, we are offering a hybrid meeting on Tuesday, January 11. In person at Osterville Library and virtually via Zoom. AND what better way to begin 2022 than to illustrate your intentions with…
Dream, Embrace, Aspire, Receive
This will be an innovative and unique vision board workshop, like none you’ve done before! Guided by CCWA members, Mazie Hollenbaugh and Katri Mullaly, you will create a compilation of images and words to help you clarify and maintain focus on your intentions, wishes, goals, etc. for your personal or professional life or both!
Visualization is one of the most powerful mind exercises you can do. A picture is worth a thousand words, especially within our minds! The vision board provides the road map AND we still need to drive the car, put gas in the car, pay attention to the sign posts, stay in our lane, decide to go left or right or straight or turnaround, follow detours, avoid potholes, be safe and take care of our car!
Maybe you are not sure if this is for you or it seems a bit “out there” for you. I can attest that creating a vision board helped me clarify my aspirations, stay focused during the year and actually depicted how I wanted to feel, not just show me the things/events I wanted in my life.
An awesome side effect of making a vision board is that you are being creative – using your imagination, being curious, connecting with yourself and so much more! The actual act of using your hands to create something has been scientifically proven to cause positive effects – physically, spiritually and emotionally. You’ll learn more about this and receive health and wellness tips, vision board stories, and a couple surprises too!
I encourage you to join us – even if you aren’t 100% sold on the concept of a vision board. Take the time for YOU! It will definitely be an inspirational and fun social gathering, virtually and in-person!
The fee is $20 for members and guests. All the supplies for both in-person and virtual will be provided.
Health Note: CCWA and the Osterville Library follow Massachusetts state health guidelines; unvaccinated people wear masks and anyone who chooses to wear or not wear a mask should feel welcome and comfortable.
