October 13th Dinner Meeting is On!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and CCWA is going pink!  We look forward to seeing you at the October 13th dinner meeting in your pink outfit!
#CCWAGoesPink

Susie Frost from the American Cancer Society and Sarah Swain from the Cape Wellness Collaborative will share Messages of Hope. Both of these amazing women link their causes to fun events and are finding joy, hope, and creativity in what they’re doing. They are non-profit leaders whose personal experiences with cancer inspired them to make a difference in their community.

Susie is a Senior Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society. She has worked as staff for almost 5 years and was a volunteer for ACS for 12 years before that, getting involved with the Relay For Life after finishing treatment for Leukemia in 2004. Susie works with the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Cape Cod, the Relay For Life of Cape Cod and Plymouth, and the charity run Falmouth Road Race.

Sarah is the lead singer and instrumentalist from Cape Cod’s popular band Sarah Swain & the Oh Boys, and is also the Founder, President and CEO of Cape Wellness Collaborative which provides integrative therapies to anyone facing cancer. Sarah is the creator of the events Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival and Dancing with the Docs, both of which benefit CWC. Sarah also owns and operates the Frying Pan Gallery in Wellfleet with her husband metal sculptor Steve Swain.

This will be a socially distanced event on the enclosed deck (with heat) of Tugboats restaurant with a maximum of 25 participants. CCWA Members have advance registration before we open the event to guests.

We will follow current COVID19 health guidelines with no more than 4 people to a table. A photo of the deck is on the left (the sides of the canopy will be down). Please note that Tugboats provides valet parking.

The dinner meeting cost is $30 until Friday, October 9th. After that, the fee is $35. The plated dinner is a choice of:
* Fall Salad with Chicken
* Baked Cod
* Short ribs
Preregistration and payment is required. We cannot accommodate any walk-ins so please register by Sunday, October 11, 2020.
